The MeRS project connects Mediterranean seaports to the inland terminals of the Rh\u00f4ne and Sa\u00f4ne rivers by digitalizing the entire logistics chain. MGI provides the digital component with its Ci5 solution, deployed and adapted to monitor all flows along the Southern Corridor.<\/p>\n

The Southern Corridor Digitalization Project \u2013 MeRS (Mediterranean Rh\u00f4ne Sa\u00f4ne) aims to digitalize the entire logistics chain linking the Mediterranean seaports to the inland terminals of the Rh\u00f4ne and Sa\u00f4ne. This initiative is part of the \u201cMarseille en Grand\u201d plan, launched on September 2, 2021, by the President of the Republic, which notably seeks to create a major river-sea port along the Mediterranean Rh\u00f4ne Sa\u00f4ne axis.<\/p>\n

Project governance is ensured by the Interport and Logistics Coordination Committee (CCIL), which has defined four areas of work. One of these focuses on the energy and digital transition, providing the framework for the digitalization initiative.<\/p>\n

The project is led by MGI, an expert in Cargo Community Systems (CCS), whose mission is to build and deliver a solution tailored to the needs of the Southern Corridor. MGI draws on over 40 years of experience with its Ci5 solution, already deployed across several terminals and continuously evolving to ensure full traceability of flows throughout the Southern Corridor.<\/p>\n
