DN-DSM.
The “Port dues” service: ships and cargo (commonly referred to as DN DSM) calculates the amounts owed for ship arrivals and departures, as well as the related cargo taxes. By integrating each port’s pricing into Ci5, MGI ensures transparency and security in these declaration processes. The calculations are carried out automatically and can be verified at any time by the authorities.

Features
The features of the Port Dues service: DN / DSM

Creation of vessel entry and/or exit declarations
Thanks to the vessel information available in Ci5 (such as vessel type, specifications, tonnage, shipping line, etc.), operators liable for port vessel dues can automatically generate the required declarations and view all applicable fees.
Creation of cargo declarations
Declarants can use the information already available in Ci5 regarding their goods to create the declarations required for the duties and taxes applicable to those goods.
Calculation of exemptions and rebates
Our DN/DSM module, by integrating the regulations related to port dues for vessels and goods, allows declarants to calculate in just a few clicks the exemptions and discounts they may be entitled to for a given port call.
Monitoring and control of vessel and cargo declarations
All DN/DSM declarations created in Ci5 are archived there and can be quickly searched and checked.
Printing of declarations / supporting documents
Users of the DN/DSM service can convert vessel and/or cargo declaration data into PDF format.
Monitoring of port calls without DN
A specific feature makes it easy to identify port calls for which no vessel declaration has been made, enabling simple and effective checks for both declarants and control authorities.
Reference data
By using the port dues service (DN/DSM), port community stakeholders have access to the vessel port dues reference data, which corresponds to a transcription of the port authority’s tariff guide (vessel type, vessel category, vessel fee, etc.).

Everything you need to know about our solutions and services ?
How are my vessel port dues calculated in Ci5?
Vessel port dues are calculated based on the information entered into Ci5 by the ship’s agent. Characteristics such as the vessel type, dimensions, tonnage, and the nature of the port call are matched with the current tariff schedule at the port of loading and unloading. The rate grid is updated annually by the port authority.
In the case of a VSA (Vessel Sharing Agreement), who is responsible for submitting the vessel declaration?
The vessel declaration must be completed by the ship’s main agent/operator for the port call.
Is it possible to view port dues tariffs in Ci5?
The port dues tariffs are integrated into Ci5 by the port authority to enable calculations, but they are not globally viewable. However, through the vessel declaration, you have the possibility to verify them.
Why are port dues not managed in Ci5 at the port where I operate?
It is up to the port authority of each port equipped with a PCS to define in which system the port dues are calculated.
